Success

Brent's big road trip racing was a success. Short of one minor snafu with the motor home, she did great - a whopping 4 miles to the gallon! Brent got 9th out of 29 cars. He started way in the back, so that is awesome! We were barely at the track it seemed, it went really fast, as the track was trying to rush the show to get it in before the snow!

We're getting ready to leave for Beatrice, NE tomorrow (well today!) for Brent's big race. I think he's nervous, because he was really short/crabby tonite, which is understandable since there is so much for all of us to do to get ready, plus we have major drama in our life right now.

We don't deal well with drama. I like to think I don't encourage it, but we must, because it feels like are constantly in the thick of things. Just everyone grow up, make your own decisions, be responsible and be happy for bloody sake! Fake it if you have to! Don't take things for granted and see the blessings you already have in life.

I can easily say this because I had an AWESOME day today and here's why:
all the bosses are out of town; at my morning job, the boss is gone till the end of the month - party!
had lunch with Cathy - she really knows how to make a person feel good! We got all excited and squealed about new scrapbook stuff and ate a yummo lunch. The key to life is to surround yourself with people like Cathy!
I went to Target, which is good enough, but I got stuff for the camper and it was all on sale! I got a super cute $70 blanket for only $17! I got all cheap stuff that we can leave in the camper, so whenever someone wants to use it; it's all ready to go.
Grocery shopping: hamburger is on sale! Stocked up and food savered it all. Perfect timing; we had completely depleated our stock.
I had spagetti=o's for supper ! :)

So, in summary: great day - lots of blessings ! Hope you have the same!!

You know - sometimes life just throws you a fast ball when you are expecting a curve ball.
Just when there is total chaos and craziness around us right now, I'm feeling really great about things. Maybe it's the booze talking, but seeing other people in pain and struggling, makes you thankful for what you do have.
Today I thank God for Brent, for being an amazing husband, friend, brother, dad and in general an awesome person.

Brent is trying to get ready to race next weekend in NE, we'll see. We are both working really hard to make it happen.

My sister is going out of the country for work, so we are going to watch the twins for awhile, so that will be fun. Brent is really looking forward to having the girls here. He's a baby nut!

Work - don't get me started, it's all up in the air (as usual) so I'm just keepin' on it!

Life - I need a major trip to target ! We are out of everything.
there is also other drama going on here, but don't want to let too much out of the bag.

long time no see

i've been ignoring you again - i know - i'm terrible.

lots is new - yet it seems like the same old crap

work: it sucks - they are screwing me over and I was prepared to fight back and get mean, but then brent reminded me that I hate that place and I might as well just go with the program and leave with grace because they will fall on their face and call me back again. Long story short: they want someone full time and didn't bother asking me if i wanted it. The owner thinks he found someone great (she's cute) and knows nothing about her skills. IF she doesn't take the job, there is another CPA that he wants to hire. Good luck ! IF they accept the job and work there, they won't last long, and work will be high and dry without anyone and will come begging back again. I will go back of course, because I have a soft spot in my heart for those psychopaths!

I took a scrapbook class with DonnaDowney on Saturday. It was good and fun. But there were these really obsessed people there who were all but dry humping her leg because they were so impressed with her. They were trying so hard to be noticed by her that they weren't paying attention to the class. They also bought every product she mentioned that she liked - i guess it's good for sales!

ben's daycare is closed for two weeks next week. poor kid is never going to get used to that place if she keeps taking time off. i'm looking forward to no tears in the morning, since he'll be going to work with brent, or my mom's: both places he LoVeS!

today was my twin neices first birthday - what cuties! Here's a pic of them from a few months ago - i'll have to upload pics from today later.
